When the Iowa High School Athletic Association released Class 3A boys’ basketball Substate pairings late last week, Greene County officially learned what they had suspected. They’ll make by far the longest road trip of the season to play at the latest time of night all season long.

It’s the number 7 seed Greene County Rams facing the second seeded Glenwood Rams in Glenwood on Monday, Feb. 24 scheduled for 8 p.m. Atlantic and Harlan play the 6:30 p.m. game in Glenwood. The two winners return to Glenwood on Feb. 27 for a 7 p.m. contest.

The other half of the bracket has number one seed Winterset hosting two games with Denison-Schleswig and Creston meeting in game one and Clarke (Osceola) and Winterset in game two.

The Greene County/Glenwood game will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
