Those of us that may be suffering from the winter blues or cabin fever are invited to a special workshop to provide a little greener side of life.

Jean Walker, aka the Plant Doctor, will be leading a demonstration on how to make a self-watering planter using only a plastic tote and pvc pipes. She will also talk about growing plants indoors. The free-will donation event will take place Tuesday, February 18th at 1pm at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Education and Welcome Center in Jefferson. The donations will be used to purchase perennials for the summer gardens.

The event is sponsored by the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Board. No pre-registration is necessary.
