The Adel Public Library has so far had a busy and fun-filled February, and that continues in the second half of the month with several upcoming free programs.

The next event will be Tuesday, February 18th, as “Critter” Cindy Blobaum from Dallas County Conservation will be on hand for a special story time at 10:30 a.m. Critter Cindy has been a popular guest at the library each of the last several months, teaching children about nature and the wildlife in Dallas County. The nature theme will continue the following day, as Kate Courtney from the Muddy Boots Forest Camp will bring an assortment of outdoor stories and activities to the library on February 19th at 10:30 a.m.

Later that week, the library will host their monthly Friday Fun Movie, showing “The Greatest Showman” on the big screen in the community room. The movie will start at 2:30 p.m. on February 21st. It’s rated PG and has a run time of one hour, 46 minutes. Popcorn will be provided, and attendees can bring their own snacks and drinks. Finally, at the end of the month the library invites kids to play life-sized Candy Land. The program will start at 2:30 p.m. in the children’s section.

There is no cost to attend any of the upcoming events, and registration is not required. To learn more about these and other programs at the Adel Library, stop in or visit their website, AdelPL.org.
