When Greene County hosts Saydel (Des Moines) in the middle school gym in Jefferson tomorrow night, the Rams will be looking to accomplish a number of things including finishing the regular and home seasons with a win, completing a two game season series sweep of the Eagles, and not the least is wanting to send the gym out with a victory in the final varsity basketball game ever scheduled to be played there. The Rams will be in the new high school and gym on the northwest part of Jefferson next season.
Greene County was a 54-44 winner over the Eagles just a week ago. Tonight’s game is a make up contest for head coach Chris Nelson’s team. The Rams are 4-16 overall and 2-11 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference. The Eagles haven’t won a game since getting by Class 1A Coon Rapids-Bayard in the season opener.
The varsity game will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com starting around 7 p.m.
