Anyone with children in kindergarten through 5th grade in the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School District will most certainly not be wanting for an activity this weekend, with the annual Daddy-Daughter Dance and Mother-Son Bowling events happening tomorrow.
The Daddy-Daughter Dance will be held from 7-9 p.m. Saturday in the ADM Middle School commons. There will be an assortment of activities throughout the evening, each of which is free with the purchase of a ticket. Additionally, the male companions can help the girls get ready for the event with a “Pamper Your Princess” promotion from 12-4 p.m. at the Raccoon Valley Community Center. Nail painting will be available for $5 and corsages can be purchased for $18 each. Meanwhile, the Mother-Son Bowling Night will run from 6-9 p.m. at the Adel Family Fun Center. Attendees will be able to bowl as many games as they are able to during the three hour time frame.
Tickets for the dance and bowling outing are $10 for each person, and can be purchased ahead of time at any of the school offices or at the door. All proceeds from each of the events will go towards the ADM After Prom Committee. Organizers remind attendees that in spite of the titles, the activities aren’t restricted to mothers and fathers. Any adults in the students’ life are welcome to attend, including grandparents, aunts and uncles, older brothers and sisters, and family friends.
