The Adel Public Library encourages patrons of all ages to join them for a free program that lasts the rest of the season.

Registration is now open for the library’s winter reading program, which this year has a theme of “Under the Big Top.” A variety of circus-themed activities will be available throughout the coming weeks, and participants can read books for the opportunity to win prizes. Every book read is an entry for the grand prize, which on this occasion is one of three gift cards to the Palms Theatres and IMAX in Waukee. Library staff encourages kids, teens, and adults alike to participate in the winter reading program, particularly as a way to stay active during a season when it’s easy to fall into inactivity.
