Several counties across Iowa saw a sizable increase in unemployment last month.

According to Iowa Workforce Development, in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area Greene County had the largest increase in unemployment from November to December of 0.8-percent to 2.2-percent. Dallas County saw a 0.7-percent increase from November to December to 2.1-percent. Guthrie County had a 0.6-percent increase to 2.8-percent. The statewide average also had a slight increase from 2.6-percent in November to 2.7-percent in December.

The national unemployment rate remained the same from November to December at 3.5-percent.
