It’s the old “something’s got to give” when 0-15 Saydel (Des Moines) visits 0-14 Greene County tonight in girls basketball in the middle school gym in Jefferson. This is the second straight season that the Eagles and Rams were both winless when they met for the first of two Heart of Iowa Activities Conference contests. Each won on their home floor a season ago and both teams finished last season with just the one victory.

The Rams hope the home team wins again tonight as they host Saydel. Tonight’s game is a make up contest and it will be a short turnaround as Greene County plays a girl/boy doubleheader on Tuesday, Feb. 4 in Des Moines at Saydel High School.

The Rams have played the last two games without leading scorer Izzy Bravard, their lone senior, who has been ill. If the 5′ 4″ guard can play tonight, it would mean an improved chance at victory number one.

Tonight’s action is JV/varsity girls’ only and KG98 and www.raccoonvalleyradio.com will have the varsity contest with coverage starting around 7 p.m.
