9:13pm: A deputy investigated a fireworks or gunshots complaint in the 800 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.

Wednesday, January 22nd

9:38am: A deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on U Avenue near 215th Street. The vehicle was unoccupied.

10:50am: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on 230th Street just west of U Avenue.

1:14pm: A deputy investigated a theft complaint in the 300 block of P Avenue.

1:19pm: Leigha Welch 27 of Fort Dodge was booked into the jail for possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance 3rd offense, and unlawful possession of a prescription drug.

1:55pm: Jennifer Barkalow 27 of Fort Dodge was booked into the jail for possession of a controlled substance 1st offense.

2:40pm: Juan Guzman 32 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for theft 2nd degree.

3:35pm: A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on 270th Street at Redwood Avenue. The vehicle a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox owned by Joyce Davis 70 of Jamaica had lost control and struck wooden post. Both airbags were deployed but the driver had left the scene. There are two separate people claiming to be the driver. This accident is still under investigation.

5:35pm: A deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on 140th Street near M Avenue. Loel Hunt 72 of Winterset lost control on the slush covered roadway.

6:02pm: A deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on 220th Street near Forrest Avenue.

The vehicle was unoccupied.

6:30pm: A deputy assisted a motorist in the ditch on N Avenue near 100 th Street. Terry Wichtendahl 63 of Otho lost control of his vehicle on the slush covered road.

9:59pm: Matthew Goff 46 of Perry was booked into the jail for a Dallas County arrest warrant for a probation violation.

Thursday, January 23rd

5:46am: A deputy investigated a single vehicle rollover accident on E Avenue and 330th Street. Jeffrey Thomas 32 of Coon Rapids lost control of his 2009 Chevrolet Impala and rolled in the east ditch causing an estimated 1,000 dollars damage to the vehicle. Jeffrey was not injured in the accident.

7:23am: A deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 400 block of East Hager Street, Grand Junction.

9:40am: A deputy assisted a motorist in the 1800 block of 235th Street. Caroline Kellogg 17 of Grand Junction lost control of her 2007 Dodge Caravan on the icy roadway. There was an estimated 500 dollars damage to the van.

1:29pm: Deputies, Jefferson Fire, Scranton Fire, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a house fire in the 1100 block of L Avenue. The structure was vacant and was severely damaged in the fire.

1:30pm: Robert Barnard Jr 53 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for domestic abuse assault while displaying a weapon 1st offense.

1:33pm: A deputy investigated a civil issue in the 500 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.

2:07pm: A deputy investigated a dog complaint in the 1400 block of 160th Street. 

2:58pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 1800 block of 235th Street.

3:10pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle on Lincoln Street in Scranton.

3:34pm: A deputy assisted with livestock out in the 1800 block of 235th Street.

3:45pm: Christopher Sowers 47 homeless was booked into the jail for a probation violation.

5:00pm: A deputy investigated a 911 hang up at the rec center in Jefferson.

5:01pm: A deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on W Avenue near 290th Street.

8:25pm: A deputy investigated a theft in the 300 block of South 7th Street, Grand Junction.

In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
