Adam Pederson earned the Rotarian of the Year Award
The Jefferson Rotary Club recently named its Professional of the Year and Rotarian of the Year awards.
Home State Bank President Sid Jones was the recipient of the Professional of the Year Award and Adam Pederson earned the Rotarian of the Year Award. Jones has been an innovator and supporter of economic development for Greene County. He helped projects such as Wild Rose Casino and Resort and the new Greene County High School and Career Academy become realities. He has also led Home State Bank to receive state-wide and national recognition and the bank is growing by adding a second story.
Pederson is involved in several volunteer activities, including within the local Rotary club, chairing the Rotary’s annual auction, volunteering with Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity, the Jefferson Public Library, mentoring young people in Hong Kong and other areas. Pederson is an abstractor with Mumma & Pederson Law Firm.
The Professional of the Year Award is given to an individual who exemplifies the objectives of Rotary through the encouragement of high ethical standards in that person’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society. The Rotarian of the Year Award is given to a Rotarian in recognition of their fulfillment of Rotary’s five avenues of service.
