The 17th annual Perry Chocolate Walk is coming up soon, and the public is invited to indulge their sweet tooth and visit Chamber of Commerce members.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the event will be held Saturday, February 8th from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., and takes place at businesses throughout the City. She says most aspects of the Chocolate Walk should be familiar, such as getting the individual chocolate offerings at the different stops and filling out a “passport” to enter for a prize. Pasutti adds, there is one aspect to this year’s festivities that’s different, and it involves the Perry Grand 3 Theater. “New this year, the theater is going to be showing ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory,’ the original one, at two times: 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. So kind of a chocolate-themed activity (that’s) family-friendly. So whether you’re actually doing the Chocolate Walk or not, (it’s) kind of a fun, add-on thing. And so for those that have the tickets, it’ll be free to pop into the movie. Otherwise it’ll just be $2 to go see the movie. Kind of a fun classic for people to enjoy!”
Pasutti says tickets for the Chocolate Walk are now available at the Chamber office for $10 each, and they’ll be available at participating businesses as well.
