Friday, January 17th

1:08am: An Officer was requested for a Welfare Check at 403 North Pinet Street. The Officer arrived and spoke with the tenant of the residence who advised everything was fine and no assistance was needed

7:32am: An Officer answered a caller’s questions regarding a welfare check on her son

10:37am: Denise Emmick spoke with an Officer regarding a Civil Dispute involving a dog

11:58am: Sadie Williams requested a Welfare Check on a relative at 707 West South Street. An Officer arrived and spoke with the individual who did not need any assistance

12:59pm: Rodney Graven was Cited for Illegal Parking- Snow Ordinance Violation in the 300 Block of East Monroe Street

1:05pm: Clay Cunningham was Cited for Illegal Parking-Snow Ordinance Violation in the 200 Block of East McKinley Street. Mr. Cunningham had two vehicles violating the ordinance and was cited for both

1:15pm: Elaine Wiggins was Cited for Illegal Parking – Snow Ordinance in the 300 block of West State Street

1:45pm: Robert Muir was Cited for Illegal Parking – Snow Ordinance in the 1200 Block of Southfield Drive

1:46pm: Curt Hastings notified Officers of snow being pushed into the street by HyVee in the 500 Block of North Vine Street. An Officer spoke with Managers at HyVee who had moved the snow prior to the Officer’s arrival

2:20pm: Donald Wills was Cited for Illegal Parking – Snow Ordinance in the 500 Block of West Harrison Street

Saturday, January 18th

8:25am: An Officer responded to the 1400 Block of Southfield Drive to assist the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call

12:59pm: Josefina Stevens reported a broken basement window at a residence located in the 300 block of North Olive Street. Damage to the window was estimated to be approx. $100. An Officer is investigating

2:10pm: Tom Semke reported a vehicle parked at 703 South Maple Street that did not have permission to park at that residence. An officer investigated and contacted the owner of the vehicle who had been granted permission from a third party. The vehicle’s owner moved the car a short time later

2:16pm: Abby Hamilton reported a fallen tree blocking the sidewalk at 400 East Monroe Street. A tree removal service was notified and the tree was moved

6:07pm: Bryce Laughlin requested a welfare check on a dog in the 100 block of South Maple Street. An officer checked the dog and found it had adequate food, water and shelter for the weather conditions

6:48pm: An Officer responded to the 200 block of South Georgia and assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call

7:07pm: An Officer responded to the 200 block of North Maple Street and assisted the Greene County Ambulance with a medical call

7:59pm: An Officer assisted the Greene County Sheriff’s Office at the Greene County Emergency Room for a possible combative patient. Upon arrival, the Officer was informed the patient was no longer combative

9:25pm: Jeremy Labate advised of a loose dog near South Maple and Brackett Streets. Officers arrived in the area but were unable to catch the loose dog

Sunday, January 19th

12:49am: Carolyn Sloan accidentally called 911. Officers spoke with Carolyn who advised she had accidentally called 911 and everything was ok

1:32am: Thomas Patrick notified Officers of a male in the 200 block of South Cedar yelling. Officers responded and spoke with the male, identified as Zachary Smith, who advised he was having an argument on his cellular phone. While speaking with Zachary, Officers detected the odor of alcohol and noticed multiple signs of intoxication. Zachary submitted a breath specimen for a P.B.T. showing a blood alcohol content of over .08%. Zachary Smith was subsequently arrested for Public Intoxication and Consumption of Alcohol in a Public Place by a Minor

9:34am: Melissa Rice advised her Debit Card had been used without her permission. An Officer is investigating

10:28am: Carol Mandziara requested a welfare check on a dog in the 300 block of Rushview Drive. An Officer checked on the animal and spoke with the animal’s owner

11:36am: An Officer responded to an alarm activation at 204 West Harrison Street

11:51am: An Officer responded to an alarm activation at 200 American Avenue

5:15pm: Officers provided traffic control for the Greene County Ambulance

7:28pm: Robert Ross requested an Officer’s assistance with his teenage son in the 600 block of South Olive Street.

10:58pm: Shelden Geary requested an Officer’s assistance at Henderson Park for a disabled vehicle. An Officer arrived and assisted in freeing the vehicle from the snow
