***Interstate 80 near the City of Adair has been reopened to traffic.***
Two wrecks on Interstate 80 are slowing down traffic Friday afternoon.
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation motorists are advised to avoid westbound Interstate 80 near Dexter as the left lane is blocked for a jackknifed semi trailer. At 2:06 p.m. a 10 minute delay in the westbound lanes was reported at exit 75 near County Road G30 west of the City of Adair, due to a crash. A detour is in use, as motorists are advised to take White Pole Road west to Highway 148 northbound back to the interstate. Most roads in the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area are still completely covered with snow, and a tow ban is in effect for Adair and Dallas counties. A winter storm warning is in effect until 6 p.m. tomorrow for Guthrie County, and a winter storm warning is in effect until 6 p.m. for Dallas and Greene counties.
