The public is invited to an upcoming event that will once again raise funds for local emergency services.
The Minburn Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department will host their annual soup and pie fundraiser lunch on Saturday, January 25th. The meal will run from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at the Minburn United Methodist Church. Food offerings will include homemade potato, chili, and split pea soup, as well as a wide assortment of desserts. The cost to take part is a free will donation, with all proceeds going to the Minburn First Responders.
Rescue Captain Dan Case says the funds will be used to purchase needed equipment and training for the volunteer department. He emphasizes that as a part-time fire and rescue, resources are often stretched thin. As such, their annual soup fundraiser has been critical in supporting the department, and he encourages everyone to attend.
