Thursday night, the Dallas Center-Grimes Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball teams did battle with the Warriors of Norwalk.
After starting the season 7-0, the DC-G Boys’ have been on a slide over the past week dropping games against Indianola and Pella. The Mustangs, unfortunately, were unable to get back on track on Thursday at Norwalk, as DC-G dropped its third straight game. Norwalk took the Boys’ game 78-55. DC-G dug itself into a big hole after one quarter of play and was never able to claw out of it.
DC-G, 7-3, will be back at home for its next contest with rival, ADM of Adel.
The night wasn’t a total loss for DC-G faithful, as the Fillies picked up a dominating win over Norwalk, 60-40. DC-G got off to a hot start and never looked back that way. Adam Jones’ squad picked up its second consecutive victory, as DC-G improved its record to 8-4 in Varsity Girls’ action.
The ADM Girls’ will present a tough test for the Fillies on Tuesday. ADM is currently ranked #15 in Class 4A.
