The Greene County School Board met Wednesday night in regular session.

The Board approved one early graduation request for Scott Brown, as well as three voluntary retirement applications for Kevin Richards, Mark Sawhill and Marcia Roeder. Additionally, the Board approved an advertising budget of $25,000 to include all local media, set a public hearing date for the February meeting to approve authorizing the issuance of $10 million of school infrastructure sales, services and use tax revenue bonds to retire previous bonds, as well as make payments on the new high school project.

The Board also approved requests to the School Budget Review Committee for $415,439 for the at-risk/dropout prevention program, $12,913 and $1,765 to Grandwood and Woodward Academy Day School respectfully, for special education funds to be used on administrative costs. Other items the Board approved included a business office software upgrade for $12,652 as presented, soccer, baseball and softball contracts for coaches; the second reading of board policies for student and district safe and responsible use of the internet, two fundraisers as presented; and, they tabled setting a public hearing to receive bids for the current high school to be converted into a middle school project.
