A Webster City man was recently sentenced to probation for an incident in Churdan.
According to court documents, 28-year-old Logan Lee Staley pled guilty to a Class C Felony for first degree theft. Staley had a ten year prison sentence suspended and was placed on probation for three years with the Iowa Department of Corrections.
The charge stemmed from an incident in Churdan in April of 2019. Staley stole several items, including electrical equipment, machining tools and thousands of record albums. Staley was also ordered to pay over $1,000 in fines, surcharges, court costs and court appointed attorney fees. A separate hearing will take place next month to determine the amount of victim restitution that Staley will have to pay.
