Thursday evening, families and students of Perry Elementary School participated in a special event hosted by the District’s Title I teachers.
The multipurpose room at the Elementary was bursting at the seams with kids and adults eager to win prizes during the school’s Family Bingo Night. The event was free to attend and included complimentary pizza, brownies, and popcorn for all attendees. After eating, kids got their Bingo cards ready and played along as Principal Ned Menke and District Librarian Mari Butler-Abry announced the numbers. Each of the winners got to select from a table filled with various prizes including games and books. Additionally, each attendee received a free book to take home, even if they didn’t fill their card.
The attendees included kids in preschool through 5th grade and their parents and siblings. The school administration felt it was a very successful event, and they believe everyone had a good time.
