A single-vehicle wreck resulted in minor injuries and slowed traffic Friday morning west of Woodward.

At just after 7 a.m., emergency crews were called to Highway 141 near the intersection of Quinlan Avenue. A white Econoline passenger van travelling westbound entered the median and rolled, coming to rest wheels up in the eastbound lanes. Dallas County Sheriff Chad Leonard said there were nine passengers inside the van, and five of them were transported by Dallas County Emergency Medical Services to MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center. No other vehicles were involved with the wreck, and the driver said it was a flat tire on the van that caused it to go into the median.

While the accident was attended to, eastbound traffic on Highway 141 was reduced to one lane, and the scene was cleared at around 9:30 a.m. The Woodward First Responders and Fire Department also responded to the incident. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
