A popular weekly program through Dallas County Conservation is temporarily on hold due to construction at Forest Park Museum and Arboretum in Perry.

Conservation Outreach Coordinator Ken Keffer says the animal feedings have been postponed for the time being, but should return soon. “We’re going to give our Animal Corner a little facelift. And so we’ve got new animal cages coming in, and we’re really trying to get that up and running. So generally we do Monday morning animal feeding programs, (but) those are going to be on hold for now as the animals are kind of off display as we’re fixing that corner of the museum. But that won’t impact any of our programs other than that.”

Keffer adds, Forest Park Museum Curator Pete Malmberg has been putting in a lot of work on the exhibit, and it should be completed within the next month or so.
