The first ribbon cutting of the year for the Perry Chamber of Commerce will be held this coming Wednesday, and the host will be the newest restaurant in town.
Chamber Director Lynsi Pasutti says the event will be at 3:30 p.m. on January 8th, and the community is invited to officially welcome Tin Pig Tavern into the fold. The bar and grill is located at the corner of 2nd and Warford streets, and Pasutti says the ribbon cutting has been in the works since they opened their doors in late October. “We will be celebrating Tin Pig Tavern. They’ve been open for a couple months now, but they’re finally ready to cut (with) the big scissors with their grand opening, and kick off the new year with a ribbon cutting. So hopefully that will continue the trend for the new year, and new businesses.”
Pasutti encourages attendees to stick around after the ceremony and enjoy dinner at the restaurant. She adds, the Chamber held 13 ribbon cuttings in 2019, and she’s excited to get started on them early in 2020.
