With the New Year’s holiday coming this Wednesday, here’s a reminder of closures for various public entities around Dallas County.
In Perry, the McCreary Community Building will be open New Year’s Eve from 6 a.m. – 5 p.m., the Perry Public Library will be open 10 a.m. – 1 p.m., and all City offices and the Water Works Department will be open regular hours. However, each building and office will be closed on New Year’s Day. There will also be no change in garbage routes in the City, since the holiday falls on a Wednesday. In Adel, City offices except the Chamber of Commerce will be open Tuesday for regular hours, and the public library will be open from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. City Hall and the library will be closed New Year’s Day. There will be no change to garbage and recycling pickup around the City.
Additionally, all Dallas County offices, including the courthouse and Department of Transportation driver’s license station will be closed Wednesday, and the Board of Supervisors meeting has been moved from Tuesday to Thursday. Finally, all post offices and banking institutions throughout the County will be closed New Year’s Day.
