High school agriculture teachers have an opportunity to receive grant funds for educational programs.

The Iowa Agriculture Literacy Foundation and the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation offer grants for Iowa teachers to initiate new projects or expand existing ones that promote agriculture literacy in the classroom. Teachers can apply for up to $250 in grants, due by January 10th, and the grants can be used for innovative lessons, activities, resources, guest speakers, outreach programs, field trips, and other projects.

The projects must take place between January 15th and June 5th and the grant funds cannot be used for fundraising purposes, political issues or campaigns. Click the link below for a copy of the application.
