Greene County Activities Director Todd Gordon attended the National Association of Athletics Directors Conference in Maryland earlier this month. Gordon told Raccoon Valley Radio this was the sixth such conference he’s attended in his career as a school A.D. “We’re there to learn and what you find out as you interact with people around the country is that they have the same things going on that you do. You’re not alone in dealing with some of the issues you deal with. You also find out there are people probably facing a little bit more than you are.”

He went on to say these conference have allowed him to meet some great athletics administrators from across the country, and this year, across the world. “The great thing about being an athletic administrator is we are sharers. We don’t hoard ideas. We want everyone to be successful. I think the ones that are in it for the right reasons are in it for the kids and if I can help someone in, say, Massachusetts, to do something in their program to help their kids, we want to do that. It’s almost a fraternity and it’s a great one to be involved in, and the National Convention is such a great time to reconnect with people.”
