Greene County boys’ basketball head coach Chris Nelson gave his players a week off for the Holidays. They’ll get back to practice tomorrow and the coach told Raccoon Valley Radio after a 1-6 start to the season they are specific things to work on once practice resumes. “We have the tools and skills to definitely be more competitive than we have been. We’re just going to really focus on a few things that we really want to try and be good at. Among those is being able to compete for four quarters and I think with our schedule coming up we have an opportunity to do that. Hopefully, we can get some more wins on our side.”

Greene County resumes play on Jan. 7 in Nevada for a Heart of Iowa Activities Conference girl/boy doubleheader. That action will be broadcast on KG98 and streamed on www.racoonvalleyradio.com.
