A DeSoto man died at his home in rural Dallas County Monday afternoon as a result of an incident involving a skid loader.
The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office reports, at 3:19 p.m. a call came into dispatch from the man’s wife, stating she needed an ambulance in the 36000 block of N Lane, southwest of DeSoto. She reported her husband was stuck in the skid loader. When emergency crews arrived, they found 74-year-old Leonard Adams behind an out building near the couple’s home. He was determined to be dead at the scene. The circumstances of the incident are currently under investigation by the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
Dallas County Emergency Medical Services, the DeSoto Fire Department and First Responders, the Earlham Fire Department, and the Dallas County Medical Examiner responded to the scene. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
