The Greene County Board of Supervisors met Monday in regular session.
During open forum, County Attorney Thomas Laehn reported on the recent courthouse security committee meeting. He said the committee has made three recommendations for security enhancements, including a keycard entrance to the courthouse, interior security cameras and bullet resistant glass for Clerk of Court office and his office. He added, the committee will formally present cost estimates at a future meeting.
The Board then discussed displaying the Tower View Team’s Ring Out for Art sculptures on the courthouse grounds. Board Chair John Muir said it is the Board’s intention to allow the sculptures to be on the grounds from May 1st through November 1st. But by November 1st, only one sculpture will remain until the following May, when the new sculptures would arrive. The process would also be subject to the County’s Public Art Policy.

Additionally, the Board approved distributing Health Savings Account funds to participating county employees on a quarterly basis for 2020, and the current fiscal year budget amendment public hearing was set for January 13th at 9am.
