The December portion of Greene County’s high school wrestling season is in the books and the athletes and coaches have some time off before they begin the 2020 part of the schedule. The Rams are 10-3 in dual meets and although they had no champions in either of the invitational tournaments they wrestled at in December, they were competitive.

Zach Beekman is the head coach of the Rams and he talked with Raccoon Valley Radio about how goals for the wrestlers and the team once they resume practice next week. “We’ll do second half of the season goals for individual wrestlers. I’ve got my team goal and they know that from day one before the season even starts when we meet as a team for the first time, I lay those out. We’ll kind of set our sites on what they want to accomplish and how they’re going to go about doing that.”

The Rams don’t wrestle until Jan. 7 at Woodward-Granger.
