It’s the week of Christmas, which means there are closures for various public entities around Dallas County.

In Perry, all City offices and the Water Works department will be closed Wednesday for Christmas Day. The McCreary Community Building will be closed both Tuesday and Wednesday, while the Perry Public Library will be open Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and will be closed all day on the 25th. City staff also points out that due to the holiday falling on a Wednesday, there will be no change to garbage routes this week. Meanwhile in Adel, all City offices and the public library will be closed on the 24th and 25th, and there will be no garbage or recycling pickup those days.

All Dallas County offices, including the courthouse and the Department of Transportation driver’s license station in Adel will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Additionally, there will be no Board of Supervisors meeting Tuesday morning. Finally, all banking institutions and post offices will be closed for Christmas Day, but will be open the day before and after.
