A Jefferson business recently moved to a new location.

Gary Goodwin is the owner of Goodwin and Son, Incorporated. His painting business started in Arizona 34 years ago and has been in Jefferson for the past 23 years. Goodwin moved the business from its previous location on Chestnut Street to 704 East Lincoln Way. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio the new location tripled the amount of building space, which now has a dedicated paint spray room, along with an office and sales area. Goodwin explains what led him to move and expand the business to a previous empty building.

“Faith is the things that you can’t see but you know are going to turn out okay. We decided we wanted to grow the business and grow the service to this community. We drove by and saw that great big building sitting there and we thought, ‘Well what a waste.’ I know that I could do some great things with that, and it would be healthy for the east side of the community to get a little bit of new blood and maybe a little facelift.”     

He appreciates everyone who has been with his company and looks forward to more years of serving residents in Greene County and the surrounding area.
