Registration is currently open for the Perry Parks and Recreation Department Boys and Girls Youth Basketball League.
The program is divided into two age groups for each gender, with one for kids in 3rd and 4th grades, and the other for those in 5th and 6th. Games will be played Saturday mornings from January 18th through February 22nd, with practices scheduled during the week by individual coaches. In addition to playing games at the McCreary Community Building in Perry, there will also be some travel for contests in Adel and Van Meter. The cost to participate is $25 for rec center members, and $35 for non-members. The deadline to sign up is Monday, December 30th at 8 p.m. Registration can be done either at the McCreary Center or online.
The Parks and Rec Department encourages aspiring hoopsters to participate in the league in order to learn the fundamentals, have fun with their friends, and also help build towards the future of Perry’s basketball program.
