To get everyone in the holiday spirit, Greene County and surrounding residents can look at Christmas light displays.
The Thomas Jefferson Gardens has maps available of 13 households, mostly in Jefferson, that have lighted displays for public viewing. Thomas Jefferson Gardens Board member Mary Weaver encourages everyone to get out and see the displays during their Holiday Lights Tour.
“The variety of lights, it’s really pretty amazing. Some of them are animated and they’re moving, and some of them are just stationary lights but very beautiful. And it’s really a fun family thing to do is to grab a map, get in the car, and take the kids, and maybe have some hot chocolate along the way, and just enjoy being in Greene County.”
Maps of the display locations are available at the Thomas Jefferson Gardens Education and Welcome Center in Jefferson, along with any of the Greene County libraries. The event is free and open to the public. Displays will be available December 24th.
