Tuesday, December 17th
9:45am: A deputy investigated a theft in the 400 block of U Avenue.
11:55am: A deputy, Grand Junction Fire, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a two-vehicle accident on 220th Street and 16th Street in Grand Junction. Dale Ganoe 41 of Jefferson was traveling east on 220th Street in his 2004 Chevrolet Suburban. Jacob Berry 25 of Jefferson failed to yield right of way and pulled out in front of Dale. Jacob was driving a 2007 Pontiac Vibe. Both vehicles ended up in the south ditch. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident. Nobody was injured or transported. Jacob was cited for an unsafe turn.
4:07pm: A deputy investigated a single vehicle accident on A Avenue just north of 215th Street. Joshua Hill 37 of Cherokee was driving a tractor pulling a manure spreader heading south on A Avenue and went over the railroad tracks to fast and entered the ditch striking a power pole and pulling the lines down. The estimated damage to the tractor and tank was around 10,000 dollars. Ralston Fire and County Roads assisted with closing the road. Ralston was without power for a lengthy amount of time due to the repairs needed to the power lines. Joshua was cited for failure to maintain control.
8:07pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 2300 block of M Avenue.
8:10pm: Joshua LeClair 35 of Churdan was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.
11:43pm: Mark Hurley 55 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for operating while intoxicated 2nd offense.
Wednesday, December 18th
3:44am: A deputy assisted with receiving Isaiah Burt 32 of Fairburn, Georgia. Isaiah was brought from New York for an arrest warrant for a revocation of a pretrial release.
4:03am: Iasaiah Burt 32 of Fairburn, Georgia was booked into the jail for a revocation of pretrial release.
4:24am: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a stolen vehicle at Sparky’s in Jefferson.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
