Emergency crews in western Dallas County responded early Tuesday morning to a three alarm house fire in Linden.
According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, the fire was reported at around 7:40 a.m., located in the 100 block of South Hamilton Street. As the City of Linden has no fire department of their own, firefighters from Redfield, Dexter, and Panora responded. As the fire spread to the garage, officials on scene noted it was likely being sustained by ammunition in the structure, commenting they could hear casings popping from outside. As a result, it took fire crews until 10 a.m. to fully extinguish the flames.
Officials believe the fire originated inside the home before spreading. No injuries were reported and the exact cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The incident remains under investigation by the Redfield Fire Department. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
