AC/GC will open their doors tonight for a basketball double-header versus Earlham.
The girl’s team will start the night as they bring in a 2-2 record after their 59-38 victory over Ogden Friday. They’ll square off against a 3-2 Earlham team, who defeated the Chargers last season 56-64. AC/GC will be tasked with the tough task of stopping Earlhams top two scorers Alli Boyle and Rachel Smith, who are averaging 16 and 13 points per game. The Chargers will lean on senior Kennedy Young, who is leading the team with 13 points per game and 27 rebounds.
In the boys matchup, both teams will be searching for their first victory after similar 0-3 starts. AC/GC will look for big nights from their two seniors in Quynton Younker and Bryce Littler. Younker has been a rock for AC/GC, averaging 17 points per game and bringing down 28 rebounds. Littler is not far behind offensively averaging more than 15 points per game.
The girl’s game will tip-off at 6 p.m. in Guthrie Center. You can listen to both games online for free online on the KKRF-2 livestream on RaccoonValleyRadio.com and the KKRF-2 mobile app. The New Way Ford New Way Auto pre-game show will start at 5:45 p.m .
