The Adel-Desoto-Minburn Tigers and Lady Tigers basketball programs faced off against Gilbert, and had mixed results with the boys winning their first game of the year and the girls falling to Gilbert. The boys won by the score of 64-55 to pick up the key victory, which was keyed by a 16 to 5 3rd quarter that helped propel the Tigers to a victory after trailing at the half. It was a great win for the Tigers, who lost their first three games by a combined seven points, and got a much needed confidence boost over a previously unbeaten Gilbert team.

The girls lost by the score of 71-58, fighting hard against a talented Gilbert girls team but ultimately falling short. The Lady Tigers had two different players in double figures, with Abbie Hlas leading the team in scoring with 23 points. All 58 points came from the five starters, their were zero bench points in the game.

The girls are back on the court again tonight against Coon Rapids-Bayard. The boys will play again tomorrow when they travel to Carlisle.
