The Comets were the 2019 Class 3A State Tournament runners-up and return their top two scorers off that squad. NP is 3-2 is losses to top 10 ranked 5A Johnston and top 10 4A Dallas Center-Grimes. The Comets are rated second in 3A. The Rams are 0-4 on the girls side and 0-2 in the conference.

Both boys’ teams are 0-2 in the league. Coach Chris Nelson’s Greene County team is 1-3 overall while the Comets are 0-3 on the season.
