The Dallas County Board of Supervisors convened Tuesday morning in regular session.
The meeting started with the appointment of Nancy Johnson of Perry to the Aging Resources Advisory Council through 2022. The Board then approved a change order of $8,486 from Harney Commercial Services for the Auditor’s Office renovation project, which will cover the inclusion of security doors on the building. At 9:30 a.m., the Supervisors held a public hearing on the vacation of excess right-of-way on County Road F31. County Engineer Al Miller said one adjoining property owner did submit a claim for damages, but it was withdrawn as the individual learned more about the vacation. No one objected during the hearing, so the Board approved the resolution.
Finally, they held a discussion on ambulance fee write-off requests with County Emergency Medical Services Director Mike Thomason. There were three requests, and the Board tabled action on the first to learn more about the situation, there was no action required on the second, and they denied the third on Thomason’s recommendation.
