Organizers of a special holiday promotion in Jefferson hope to increase foot traffic and the local economy.

The “Get Lit in Jefferson” has been going on for a couple of months, but the newest addition this week is a bingo game. Co-organizer Rosie Tucker encourages everyone to stop into participating retailers and pick up a bingo card. She explains the details of the promotion.

“Get your stamp, there’s no purchase necessary to fill out your bingo card. Once you get that single bingo, you are more than welcomed to stop there and leave your card at that participating retailer. Or if you want you want to go full out and get a blackout on your card that will put you in the drawing for one person will win $100 worth of (Jefferson Area) Chamber Checks, that can be spent anywhere, at any Greene County Retailer, throughout the month of December.”        

A single bingo will get you in a drawing for 21 gift certificates to the participating businesses. Bingo winners will be announced at the end of the promotion on December 15th. A list of the participating businesses can be found below.
