The Perry School Board will convene Monday evening in regular session.
The meeting will start with the retiring of the previous Board, followed by swearing in the members who were elected in November. They will then select a Board President and Vice President, designate the time and location for regular meetings for the next year, assign members to committees, and appoint a representative to the State Legislature and Dallas County Conference Board. In general business, the Board will consider approval of a pit director and choreographer for the upcoming spring musical, as well as creating the title of Assistant Drill/Dance Coach.
Other items on the agenda include: a contract with Metro West Learning Center; revisions to Board policies; early graduation requests; and revisions to the voluntary early retirement policy. Finally, the Board will consider a resolution approving an election on a revenue purpose statement related to the state’s Secure an Advanced Vision for Education (SAVE) fund, as required by the State Legislature. The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. Monday in the high school’s Brady Library.
