Don’t forget, tonight the Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce is hosting their annual holiday festival: the Sip and Sample.
The theme for this year is “Winter Nights, Magical Lights,” which Chamber Board Vice President Rebecca Hillmer says is in recognition of the new downtown lighted wreaths that will be revealed at 5:30 p.m. Hillmer points out, there are 48 different member businesses taking part this year, with each location offering something unique. “Every business has to have a different food item. And we have everything from appetizers to fudge to candy to sandwiches. One interesting one this year is the Knights of Columbus will be doing deep fried grilled cheese bites. Which to me, I want to just go check that out and see how they do that! Lots of different things to try. And then of course, afterwards you can go online and find the recipes if you want to make those yourself at home.”
There will also be an appearance by Santa during the Sip and Sample, as he will be at the Adel Dental Group from 5:30-8 p.m. Hillmer adds, you can enter for door prizes by playing CHEER – which is similar to BINGO – and cards are available at Harvey’s Greenhouse or Modville. There is no cost for any of the festivities, except for carriage rides at Harmony Hall.
