After a very long wait and many off-season training programs and practices, the West Central Valley Wildcats wrestling team will finally begin their season on the mat today. They will be traveling to Greenfield to play in a duel match with other schools from around the area. West Central Valley will be looking to duplicate a successful 2018-19 season, one that saw three wrestlers go to state.

The Wildcats top returning wrestler will be Justin Garcia, who made it all the way to the state tournament last year. This will be year number two for head coach Ben Strandberg, and he will be fielding a team that will have a lot of talented wrestlers.

West Central Valley will be looking for a positive first step tonight, and will see if they can execute.
