The Adel Partners Chamber of Commerce has a busy weekend planned, starting with the annual Sip and Sample event tomorrow. Another activity they’re helping to host went away for a few years and is returning under the Chamber’s umbrella: the Holiday Tour of Homes.
There are five locations on the tour, which will take place Sunday from 1-4 p.m. The residences of Van Harden, Amy Lucht, Jodi Banse, and Tim Crannell will be open to visitors, as well as Big Blue Bed and Breakfast. Chamber Board Vice President Rebecca Hillmer and Chamber Director Deb Bengtson encourage people to attend, as it will feature both new and old Adel. Hillmer says, “It’s fun to get out and see some of the different housing styles in Adel. And everybody will have them nicely decorated!” Bengtson adds, “Van’s house is an 1853 home, Amy’s was built in 1903, and then the Banse and the Crannell homes were just built the last two years. So you’re going to see both sides of Adel, besides our bed and breakfast!”
Tickets for the Tour of Homes are $10 each and can be purchased ahead of time at Harvey’s Greenhouse, Lincoln Savings Bank, or Adel Health Mart, or the day of the event at the Raccoon Valley Bank Community House.
