Several organizations are coming together to make Adair’s 24th Annual Festival of Trees an event to remember.
Co-sponsored by the Adair Women’s Club and Adair Public Library, the festival lasts from 1-8 p.m. Saturday at the Adair Fire Station, and will feature a variety of trees, nativity scenes, Christmas Villages, collections and more. Snacks and drinks will be provided and free will donations will be accepted to go towards high school senior scholarships and community projects.
Residents are also encouraged to attend the memorial tree lighting service at 4:30 p.m. The Adair Sesquicentennial Committee gave residents the opportunity to purchase an angel light in memory of a loved one, and the tree will stay lit for the rest of the holiday season. The Lions Club will then serve a soup supper at 5 p.m. and Santa Claus will be visiting from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
The public can also celebrate the season by stopping by the Adair First Presbyterian Church which will have many nativity scenes on display.
