Greene County traveled to Ogden Tuesday night to begin the 2019-20 high school wrestling season and Coach Zach Beekman’s Rams went 2-1 in a quadrangular. Greene County won 51-30 over Heart of Iowa Activities Conference rival PCM (Monroe), then lost to West Central Activities Conference combined program Van Meter/Earlham 48-29, before beating Ogden, also a WCAC member, by a 42-36 final.

Greene County had three wrestlers go 3-0 on the night, including freshman McKinley Robbins at 106 lbs. with a trio of falls, each taking less than one minute. Sophomore Brenner Gallagher (113) had two forfeits and a win by 8-7 decision, and junior Brady Stauffer had a fall, a forfeit, and a 9-2 decision over a former State Qualifier.

Rams going 2-1 on the night were sophomore Nathan Black (145), senior Will Hansen (160), junior Chance McCollom (132), senior Matt Naberhaus (285), senior Braden Gallagher (126).

Next up for the Rams is the Dallas Center-Grimes tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7.
