Perry and Greene County split a non-conference girl/boy basketball twin bill on Tuesday night in Jefferson. Perry was a winner in the girls’ game, 81-38, and the Rams took the boys’ game, 65-27. The Jayettes are 2-1 while the girls from Greene County fell to 0-2. Greene County’s boys are 1-1 and the game was the first of the season for the Perry boys.

Perry had four girls score in double figures led by senior Molly Lutmer with 27 points and she and most of Perry’s starters did not play the fourth quarter. Jayna Kenney had 13 points with Hannah Peterson and Lydia Olenczjek scoring 12 each.

The lone Greene County girl to score in double figures was senior Izzy Bravard with 13 points. Sadie Wilson and Eliza Carlson each had eight points.

The Jayettes led 20-11 after one quarter and 42-22 at intermission. the lead grew to more than 35 points in the third quarter, leading to the continuous clock rule going into effect.

The boys’ game saw the Blue Jays lead 11-8 late in the first period. The Rams held a 13-11 advantage after one period and went on from there. Up 21-16, Greene County scored the last 24 points of the first half and first four of the second half for a run of 28 unanswered points. The boys’ game went to the continuous clock rule in the third quarter.

Senior Carter Morton had 23 points to lead all scorers. The Ram standout athlete had a one-handed dunk for his first basket of the night. The then made three goals from three-point range, and dished out several assists. The Rams were eight of 21 on three-point shots after going 0-21 on three’s in the season opening loss at Ogden on Monday night. Joining Morton with double figures points were Zach Goff with a career high 14, and 10 each for Cael Fisher and Bryce Stalder,
