The Perry City Council convened Monday evening in regular session.

The meeting began with open forum, during which Brian Peterson with the Greater Dallas County Development Alliance gave an annual report. There was also a presentation on the Dallas County Local Housing Trust Fund from Board members Matt McDevitt and Christine Gordon, as well as Dallas County Habitat for Humanity Coordinator Omar Padilla. After the presentation, the Council approved a resolution for a per capita contribution to the housing trust fund in the amount of $8,086.

Also in old business, the Council approved a pay request in the amount of $2,711 from Landals Concrete Construction for the Wiese Park trail improvement project, followed by approval of a pay application for $5,607.85 from the Baker Group for the McCreary Community Building equipment replacement. In new business, they approved a preconstruction agreement for a primary road project with the Iowa Department of Transportation, regarding improvements to 1st Street/Highway 144.
