The Perry girls basketball team will travel to Newton weather permitting tonight for a non-conference battle with Newton.  Perry is 1-0 on the season after a thrilling 58-52 win over a much improved Des Moines North squad.  Molly Lutmer led all scorers with 23 points while fellow senior Hannah Peterson chipped in 12 and sophomore Jayna Kenney added 11.

Newton enters 0-1 after falling to Grandview Park Baptist 48-46.  The Cards struggled from the floor shooting just 3-18 from 3-point land.
