After taking over as owner of Interstate Chevrolet in mid-October of last year, the more than year-long moving process for Jason Simpson to his new 10-acre location in Stuart is officially complete.
Simpson says the dealership became fully operational out of its new location this past Monday, and he couldn’t be more excited to be in the new place.
“The old facility had a great history and a long run of 83 years, but as we know things do need to change to keep them going. Revitalizing this, moving it out to the Interstate with a new facility–it was a vision that we had to add something to the area, (bring) growth to the area and hopefully growth to the business.”
The dealership had formerly been in the downtown area of Stuart on Division Street.
Simpson says Stuart residents have given the new location a warm welcome since it opened Monday, and he hopes to continue receiving local support so that everybody feels the benefits of what he sees as a growing local economy.
“We do need the support of the town, and we’re willing to give back to the town via contributions to charities, local events. I firmly believe in giving back to the community as much as we can and playing a big role in the community, whether its through any type of events going on and so forth that we can participate in.”
Simpson encourages residents in the local area to visit the new dealership on Saturday, November 16th for their catered open house, which will take place from 11am to 4pm.
