While you’re doing some grocery shopping for Thanksgiving this weekend, Raccoon Valley Radio encourages you to save some room in your cart for community members in need.

The Caring Christmas Food Drive is cruising through several stops this weekend. First off, the Big Red Radio will be broadcasting live at the Jefferson Hy-Vee from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today, sponsored by MacDonald Insurance. The Big Red Radio will then be at the Jefferson Fareway from 2-4 p.m. sponsored by Motor Inn, and the Lil’ Big Red Radio will be broadcasting from 3-5 p.m. at the Winterset Fareway.

Tomorrow the Big Red Radio will be at the Jefferson Fareway from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. sponsored by Jefferson A&W, and from 2-4 p.m. sponsored by Carroll Hydraulics. The weekend doesn’t stop there, as the Big Red Radio will be at the Wild Rose Casino & Resort in Jefferson from noon-2 p.m. Sunday. The public can drop off nonperishable food items during all of these stops. Jefferson Fareway is also offering packaged food bags for purchase.
